Sheffield’s Own OXO Building

Thorndale Limited, the new owner of 4 Joiner Street, Sheffield have just received permission from Premier Foods to rename the 10,000 sq ft Art Deco Building ‘OXO HOUSE’ – The building has been re-named several times since it was built in 1936 but was originally named ‘OXO House’ when built for OXO by George Longden, the builder whose work includes amongst other things, Sheffield City Hall. The building was originally used for storage and administration, and is just coming to the end of a £1.5 million renovation and conversion into office space.
